We worked with Fine Home Builders in 2002 - 2003. They oversaw a complete remodel of our 5000sq ft home which was built in 1938 and was due for a major overhaul.

Tony Lupo and his team are wonderful to work with. They are ethical, reliable and meticulous in their approach. Tony’s eye for detail is such that he is always working hard to ensure that the project is completed to the highest standards. Tony was very committed to our project, and it shows in the quality and craftsmanship of the work. He worked well with our architect.

He has selected his sub-contractors carefully and is always working with them to ensure the highest quality of work. We were really pleased with the caliber of his subs in the stone, paint, cabinetry, flooring, tile companies and the others who worked on our project.

We were impressed by Tony’s management style and the fact that he took full responsibility for the project. We were able to work with him on issues and changes that came up and resolve them easily.

The project proposal was broken out in detail, and we had an easy time figuring out where the costs were being incurred. This helped us fine tune our proposal and remove some expensive and unnecessary changes. His scheduling and forecasting were on track. Delays with the city permits held up some parts of the job, but that was an issue with the city, not Fine Home Builders.

Accounts were maintained and dealt with in a timely manner and on a regular basis. Tony kept a very detailed log of all the costs and presented these with the invoices. Small details like getting together a binder for all the appliance manuals and warranty cards, making a spreadsheet of the paint used have been very useful. The work area was always kept clean and the team cleared away all the tools and debris from the construction at the end of the day.

We are very happy with our house and would most definitely work with Tony and Fine Home Builders in the future. We have recommended him to our family and friends and everyone has been very pleased with their completed projects.

Fine Home Builders' Tony Lupo and his team have just completed a kitchen remodel, as well as a powder room and family room face-lift at our home. We are exceptionally pleased with the quality of work and will continue to use them for future projects. In searching for a general contractor we wanted to make sure that we hired someone with integrity, who was able to communicate with us in an effective and timely manner. We also needed an accurate cost and time estimate for the work to be done. During the bidding process Tony had all of his subcontractors at our home in order to get a fair estimate of the scope of the project. In terms of timing Tony and his team completed the project exactly when he said he would.

As far as the quality of work and craftsmanship, Tony's team exceeded our expectations. His team of painters, cabinetmakers, stonecutters, tile setters, floor finishers and daily crews are professional and reliable craftsmen, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Finally, we believe that Tony's expertise as well as managing and detail oriented skills led to a most successful, perfectly and beautifully executed project.

The folks at Fine Home Builders did an exceptional job on our home remodel. The cynical side of me expects shoddy workmanship from contractors, and I tend to keep a close eye on them. But I quickly discovered that Tony and his crew had a higher standard than mine! He frequently came to us with suggestions for improvement over design, and demonstrated a follow through you don't expect in this business. He constantly looked after our needs, explored options, and was readily available to patiently answer questions— all this at a very reasonable price. I couldn't have been happier with our remodel, and recommend this contractor very highly.
